“The lost home that we are seeking is ourselves; It is the story we carry within our soul”. ~Michael Meade

About Me

Along the path to becoming a therapist, I confronted the impact early childhood trauma and addiction had upon my life. Patterns of people pleasing, fear of being seen, an inability to set boundaries, low self -esteem, chaos, and confusion ruled my life. Many dark nights of soul led me to become sober, face my past, and stretch into the person I am today. Through sobriety I become more-clear, more alive, more grateful, and more connected to my own truth. It didn’t happen over-night. I owe my growth to therapy and the power of the natural world to inspire healing.

After a year of sobriety, I got a job working as a wilderness guide. I loved working alongside people as they learned how to build fires, make their own shelters, and endure long storms. In the process I witnessed them learn how to nurture their inner flame, seek security, and weather adversity.  I experienced first-hand the power of nature to teach through metaphor and reflect one’s inner resources. These experiences have been instrumental in shaping my work as a counselor because I understand that the entirely worth it path to greater wholeness is often full of cuss words, discomfort, beauty, revelation, and question marks. I believe in the resiliency of the human spirit to heal, persist, and seek meaning.

Therapy allows us to be seen and deepen into our own experience. It gives us permission to let it all out and let it all go.

My work is collaborative, holistic, and person-centered. My approach is a blend of mindfulness, somatic based practices, eco-therapy, gestalt, and existentialism. I am here to remind you of your belonging and strength. I love working with dreamers, highly sensitive people, seekers, and creatives who want to become free of harmful past narratives, get curious, and embrace a more authentic version of themselves. It is my hope that through our work together you will discover the power of self-awareness, self-compassion, and self-acceptance. Let’s work together to create the building blocks for personal liberation, resiliency, and lasting recovery.

When I am not working you may find me jumping in a cold river, reading tarot, hiking, spending time with loved ones round a fire, dancing, and snuggling with my five four-legged friends.
